AOL, American Airlines Launch Loyalty Program

America Online, Dulles, VA, and AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, Fort Worth, TX, yesterday debuted its AOL AAdvantage awards and sweepstakes program.


The program, which was announced in January and was originally scheduled to launch in spring, allows customers to earn frequent-flyer miles that can be used for travel products and purchases from program partners. There is no membership fee.


The companies also said TD Waterhouse Group, 1-800-Flowers and Cooking.com have joined the program.
