Amway Drops Collectibles Book
Amway customers looking for an unusual holiday gift can now pore through the new Historic Treasures Catalog in addition to the Christmas catalog, which dropped in October.The 52-page catalog includes such items as rare stamps, coins from shipwrecks, silver dollars from famous bank robberies and baseball cards. It is available only through Amway distributors, who can be located by calling 1-800-544-7167.
"Amway does specialty catalogs on regular basis,'' said catalog Buyer Tom Cathey. "We try to look at unusual type of products for distributors to purchase and market. This one can capitalize on the fourth-quarter gift market.''
Amway, Ada, MI, has also produced CD-ROM and jewelry catalogs as well as its annual personal shoppers, Christmas and spring/summer catalogs.
