American Mobile Offers Strategy.com Finance to Wireless Users
American Mobile Satellite Corporation is partnering with Strategy.com to allow America Mobile subscribers to receive timely, personalized alerts on subjects such as finance, weather and news.American Mobile's eLink subscribers will receive customized information such as personalized portfolio updates and company-specific news sent directly to their handheld device. Eventually, subscribers will be able to receive "actionable alerts" on their wireless devices and initiate real-time trades.
The eLink allows users to receive, read and reply to e-mail over the company's ARDIS network. Strategy.com Finance is the company's initial offering, but American Mobile plans to offer other services such as sports team news, city-specific weather, personalized local traffic as well as beach and boating reports.
