American Express and Yahoo extended their partnership on October 21 to give Yahoo Small Business members access to services from the American Express Open platform through the Web.

The deal gives Yahoo Small Business members access to AcceptPay, an online payment and invoicing solution; SearchManager, a platform to manage pay-per-click campaigns; and InsuranceEdge, a service for getting real-time quote comparisons and purchasing customized business insurance.

The two companies also partnered to create BusinessSolutions.Yahoo.com, which features a social network, where business-owners can share their stories, and testimonials from top entrepreneurs.

“We wanted to bring all of their knowledge, content and experience to help small businesses run their companies,” said Mitch Spolan, VP of North American field sales at Yahoo.

An Amex representative did not return a call by press time.
