America Online, Target Sign Cross-Marketing Pact

America Online yesterday signed a cross-marketing agreement with Target.

The deal calls for target.com, Target's online store, to become a retailer across several AOL brands and for AOL to become Target's preferred online service for promoting products and services.

In addition, Target will provide its merchandise through ShopatAOL online shopping destinations and other areas across AOL, AOL.com, Compuserve, Netscape Netcenter and AOL Digital City.

Target marketing channels, in-store promotions and AOL's online areas will promote the arrangement.
