Amazon.com Opens East Coast Customer Service Center

Amazon.com Inc., Seattle, will open its first East Coast customer service center in Huntington, WV, in April. The center will support shopping calls from around the world for the e-commerce giant's flagship shopping site and also will support its customers who sell merchandise through its sothebys.amazon.com, zShops and auction services. The 40,000-square-foot center, which will be managed by site director Rob Gannon, will employ 375 people and will operate under the auspices of Amazon.com subsidiary Amazon.com.wvcs Inc.
