AMA Hires Draft Chicago for Show

The American Marketing Association hired Draft Chicago to handle interactive marketing and direct mail for its inaugural annual conference next year, it was announced yesterday.

Draft Chicago will use its Behavior Path Marketing process to create a platform to drive traffic to the AMA show, set for Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2006, in Orlando, FL. The agency pitched against several competitors.

"One thing Draft did show in our pitch was the experience working with the National Postal Forum, so we know how to drive attendance, and they needed a partner to help them do that," said Laurie Nations, senior vice president and group account director at Draft Chicago.

AMA, Chicago, is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in practicing, teaching and study marketing. It has nearly 40,000 members, including marketing executives and academics.
