Allstate Expands Reach With InsWeb Deal
Allstate Insurance Co. began marketing its auto, homeowners, renters and condominium insurance this month on InsWeb Corp.'s Web site.Allstate, Northbrook, IL, has its services on InsWeb for Illinois residents but expects to expand it to 15 states by June, with renters insurance available in select states. Allstate plans to introduce homeowners and condominium insurance on the comparison-shopping site by early 2002.
Customers that access Allstate via InsWeb also will have access to the sales and service capabilities of Allstate's 13,000 local agents and customer service staff through a toll-free number and www.allstate.com.
