Allstate Appoints OgilvyOne for DM

Allstate Insurance Co. named OgilvyOne Chicago its direct marketing agency a year after the introduction of its "Our Stand" campaign.


The agency, part of WPP Group PLC's Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, is charged with database marketing efforts including mail, segmentation, analytics and creative. It will extend "Our Stand" to direct marketing with the intention of expanding Allstate's customer base.


Incumbent Digitas, which handled the Allstate account for four years, continues to hold interactive marketing duties. Draft previously was responsible for direct response television.


The nation's leading publicly held personal lines insurer, Allstate serves more than 16 million households in the United States and Canada through 12,900 agencies and financial specialists.


Allstate joins an OgilvyOne roster that includes IBM Corp., Nestle, SAP, Unilever, American Express Co., Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola Co. and GlaxoSmithKline.
