Alliance to Save Energy Launches Web Contest

The Alliance to Save Energy has launched a Web contest to help promote efficient energy use, in conjunction with Earth Day 2000. The contest will award energy-efficient products such as a Panasonic TV/VCR and a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator.

The Alliance expects Earth Day 2000 -- on April 22 -- to bring unprecedented attention to energy and its impact on the environment. To enter the contest, visitors on the Alliance Web site, www.ase.org/earthday, click on a banner that leads them to a four-question quiz about energy, and then contestants can view prizes. A drawing will be held April 28.
