Alliance Data rewards program brings Whirlpool Canada on board

Alliance Data's Canadian Air Miles Reward Program has signed Whirlpool Canada to a multi-year partnership, effective June 1.

Whirlpool is Air Miles' first brand partner from the home appliance sector, a category it hopes to grow.

“We're interested in associating ourselves with meaningful brands with a value proposition for the average consumer,” said Debora DiGioacchino, senior manager of client services at Air Miles. “We look for partners that can fill a number of different categories. Whirlpool is looking for opportunities to reach farther into the Canadian market and they can do that with the 10 million Air Miles households.”

Consumers can earn between 50 and 150 miles for each product bought, depending on the Whirlpool brand.  

A Whirlpool representative could not be reached by press time. Financial details of the relationship were not disclosed.
