Alis Moves to Improve Language Translation Tool
Alis Technologies, a language management services provider, will use IBM's WebSphere Translation Server to improve the performance of business-to-business exchanges that use its Gist-In-Time language translation tool.Alis' Gist-In-Time product allows customers to read Web pages and other electronic documents in various languages. The WebSphere Translation Service will assist Gist-In-Time with language conversions from English to Italian and vice versa, English to German, English to Japanese, English to simplified Chinese, English to traditional Chinese, and English to Korean.
Current users of Gist-In-Time include Netscape, Sympatico-Lycos, Copernic.com and BellZinc.
