Bird PR

Alice Chan, principal at Bird PR, arrived in Silicon Valley from the UK in 1998. Before starting Bird PR, Alice founded and ran the Red Consultancy’s San Francisco office. She was previously SVP and partner at FleishmanHillard in San Francisco and a managing director at Spark PR. She has worked with brands including Chevron, McAfee, Sun Microsystems, Visa, and Yahoo, and launched startups such as Ask Jeeves, e-Stamp, Eye-Fi, PlantSense, Rdio, Sifteo, and VideoSurf. Alice is a committed yogi and finds that doing headstands helps keep her feet on the ground. She is also a working mother, which is a bit like doing backbends 24/7. Alice writes about startups, how they communicate, and how they can get their stories across most effectively.

A full-service agency founded in 1974, Bader Rutter expertly helps you get the right message to the right audience at the right time through the right channels. As we engage our clients' audiences along their journey, direct marketing (email, direct mail, phone, SMS) and behavioral marketing (SEM, retargeting, contextual) channels deliver information relevant to the needs of each stage. We are experts at implementing and leveraging marketing technologies such as CRM and marketing automation in order to synchronize sales and marketing communications. Our team of architects and activators plan, execute, measure and adjust in real time to ensure the strategy is working as needed and change things if it's not.
