ALC Will Open New Regional Office

List management and brokerage concern American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ, will announce the opening of at least one new regional office this month that will be staffed by a new hire whose identity has not yet been revealed, Donn Rappaport, chairman/CEO at ALC, told DM News yesterday. He declined to say where the new office would be located.

"Our model is to attract the right people and open up offices around them," he said.

He also said the fate of the company's Connecticut office, which was vacated last year, has not yet been determined.

Meanwhile Rappaport also said that ALC, after an unsuccessful effort to acquire rival Direct Media, Greenwich, CT, will continue to pursue other acquisitions in the traditional and online list industries.

In addition, he said he expected that ALC will begin offering both complied and response mailing lists directly through the Web sometime this year.
