Airborne Express to Raise RatesAirborne Express said yesterday that it will begin phasing in general rate increases for its domestic shipping products Jan. 2.
Airborne's rates for Overnight Express, 10:30 Urgent A.M., Next-Afternoon, Second Day Service and International Express will rise an average of 4 percent. Rates for Ground Delivery Service and airborne@home will rise an average of 3.5 percent.
The increases will be applied to individual customers not under rate-guarantee contracts. Increases for those customers will be phased in as the contracts are renewed.
