Worldata Buys Back WebConnect From CMP Media

List-management and database marketing firm Worldata announced Jan. 12 that it bought back publisher CMP Media's 50-percent interest in online ad-placement service WebConnect for an undisclosed sum.

Roy Schwedelson, CEO of Worldata, Boca Raton, FL, said he approached CMP Media, Manhasset, NY, to buy WebConnect back because he felt it was in the best long-term interests of Worldata's clients to be served by one company.
