Total Mailing System Buys JCI DM

Direct mail services provider Total Mailing System Inc. purchased the JCI Direct Marketing portfolio of JMC Direct from owner Jim Capanna.

The JCI portfolio includes direct mail personalization and lettershop customer campaigns. The accounts now will use Total Mailing's new and expanded continuous and sheet form laser and direct impression inkjet personalization printers.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This is Total Mailing president Bob Powell's first acquisition since the 1999 purchase of 80 Computer Services, a Williamstown, NJ, direct marketing firm.

Capanna becomes the director of business development at Total Mailing, working out of the company's West Deptford, NJ, office.
