TBWA/Chiat/Day, San Francisco, an advertising agency with billings estimated at $1.8 billion, this week was named agency of record for Pets.com, San Francisco.

TBWA/Chiat/Day will take full charge of developing the growing category leader's multimillion-dollar branding and marketing communications campaign.

Carisa Bianchi, president/CEO of TBWA/Chiat/Day, said the agency wanted to work with Pets.com because it believed the company was the online pet retailer "best positioned to win" in the marketplace.
