Shirtcliffe, Rosenspan Win Top Caples

The John Caples International Awards gave its Irving Wunderman Award to Matt Shirtcliffe and its Andi Emerson Award to Alan Rosenspan.


The two direct marketing executives will be honored March 2 at the 28th annual Caples held at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion. Caples honors outstanding DM creative yearly from around the world that yielded positive results.


Shirtcliffe is creative director of AIM Proximity, Auckland, New Zealand. He was honored for the quality of work produced over his 16-year career, becoming the 19th Irving Wunderman Award recipient. He also has won 13 Caples awards over the years.


Steven Bassett was last year's Irving Wunderman recipient.


Rosenspan was the choice for the Andi Emerson Award based on a lifetime dedicated to creative direct marketing campaigns at agencies now known as OgilvyOne and Digitas. The much-awarded lecturer, author and now DM consultant is the 13th Andi Emerson Award recipient.


Roska Direct boss Jon Roska was last year's winner of the Andi Emerson Award, named after the founder of Caples.
