Publicis Launches New Digital Agency

Roar, an amalgam of top digital talent from across Publicis Groupe, will be led by Zenith OptiMedia veteran Sean Reardon.

Publicis Groupe today announced the launch of Roar, a digital agency that draws upon talent selected from several Publicis agencies. Its stated mission is to unite “strategy, creative, user experience, media, and analytics” in a single offering.

Roar President Sean Reardon, most recently VP of strategy at Zenith OptiMedia, left that Publicis unit last year to lead the formation of the new agency. Before his five years at Zenith, he was a senior account planner for Hal Riney. He will report to both Rishad Tobaccowala, chief strategy and innovation officer at VivaKi, and Zenith CEO Tim Jones.

JPMorgan Chase has been announced as Roar's inaugural client. The agency will be headquartered in New York and field offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, London, and Hong Kong.

“Roar has been created to meet specific client needs while delivering the alchemy that comes with combining insight, emotion, and technology to transform the business of our clients,” Tobaccowala says.
