PlanetFeedback Goes Barefoot
The appointment comes on the heels of PlanetFeedback's maiden foray into the business-to-business market through its BrandPulse product.
Targeted to marketers, BrandPulse is designed to offer in-depth analytics based on customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth behavior of consumers who provide online feedback.
DDB, New York, will continue to handle consumer advertising for PlanetFeedback.
Barefoot is charged with developing and implementing advertising and promotional strategies for BrandPulse, followed by other unspecified PlanetFeedback products.
The assignment is "to create more leads for their salespeople through a range of marketing vehicles to reach BTB customers like ad agencies, corporations, investment analysts and PR firms," said John Yengo, executive vice president and partner at Barefoot.
The 7-year-old full-service agency's clients include P&G, BriteSmile, Chattem and Van Melle. It recently won Global Knowledge, Cary, NC, an IT training company.
PlanetFeedback claims to generate an estimated 10,000 letters each week.
Consumers can send feedback directly to the site, www.planetfeedback.com, or via sites that use the company's service, such as Oxygen.com, Epinions.com and CNNfn.com.
