Publicis Groupe announced today that Chris Kuenne, Founder and Chairman of Rosetta, has stepped down from his role with Publicis Groupe.

Kuenne, who founded Rosetta in 1998, served as the agency's CEO until April 2013, two years after he negotiated a $575 million sale to Publicis in 2011. He was replaced at the helm by Tom Adamski.

“Through vision and passion, Chris was able to build and scale a truly unique agency model,” said Publicis Groupe Chairman and CEO Maurice Lévy in a statement. “Chris had already been non-executive Chairman for a while and thanks to a good succession plan and an excellent hand over to Tom Adamski, Rosetta will continue to grow and develop innovative strategy. I wish Chris the very best.”

Kuenne will move on to teach technology and entrepreneurship at Princeton University and continue to lead Rosemark Capital Group, a private equity firm he founded.
