Microcell, MCDS Informatique to Form Database Marketing Firm
Microcell Capital will invest $2 million Canadian for 40 percent of the new company and contribute resources and equipment from Microcell Labs, another Microcell subsidiary. Microcell also gave the new company a license to operate a customer-modeling prototype developed by Microcell Labs.
MCDS will transfer all assets of its MCDS Solutions Geomarketing subsidiary, which specializes in marketing data processing services.
The new company will offer services, specially designed for wireline, wireless and Internet service providers, for analyzing user preferences and needs, implementing customer acquisition and retention strategies and optimizing revenues in market segments. The company will be based in Montreal and have more than 30 employees.
