The acquisition is Boston-based Isobar's second in the United States and 11th worldwide in the past 10 months. Molecular will offer Internet development and technology consulting help to Isobar from its Watertown, MA, office. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Molecular brings clients such as Fidelity Investments, Hewlett-Packard Co., MFS, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, JP Morgan Chase, Analog Devices, Talbots Inc. and The TJX Companies Inc.

Its services include business process and digital strategy, online development and implementation, multi-site and multichannel integration and user experience design and redesign. Molecular keeps its name and management. The company joins Isobar brands like Carat Interactive, Freestyle Interactive and iProspect. Isobar was created in July 2004 and has a network of 52 offices in 27 countries.
