Gage Marketing Group, a Minneapolis-based firm that specializes in integrated marketing strategy and fulfillment, is finalizing a deal., that will partner its teleservices, fulfillment, lettershop and trade support division with Atlanta-based AHL Services Inc.

The division, currently known as Marketing Support Services, will be renamed Gage Marketing Support Services and operate as a division of AHL, which specializes in contract staffing and management for teleservices and other programs for clients.

As part of the deal, Gage's founder and chairman, E.C. "Skip" Gage, will become an AHL board member and one of the company's largest shareholders.

"I have been looking for a way to generate growth capital for both our marketing fulfillment business and for our marketing agency business for some time now," Gage said. "This partnership on the fulfillment business with AHL allows us to grow this business at a faster rate and enables us to devote more capital to our marketing agency business."

Gage generates about $80 million in sales annually through Marketing Support Services. The company also operates promotion and direct marketing agencies, as well as a point of purchase agency and database marketing group. Those groups, which tally $70 million in annual sales, will be unaffected by the AHL deal.
