Hoping to help advertisers increase their banner click through rates, e-commerce affinity site FreeRide (www.freeride.com), New York, announced the launch of a new service called DestinationPoints. The system creates sites and aggregates banner ads, groups them by interest and provides incentives for surfers for clicking through.

The banners are organized in nine categories: people and communities; computers and the Internet; games and gaming; music and entertainment; money and careers; shop 'til you drop; news, sports and weather; travel; and cars. FreeRide said more than 30 advertisers have signed up, including AT&T WorldNet, CBS Sportsline, Disney Store Online and the Mining Co.
