Draft Unveils DTC Healthcare Practice

DraftWorldwide, Chicago, yesterday launched Healthcare Marketing Services, a new healthcare marketing and communications effort under the agency's domestic operations division in its home office. The unit will be headed by Ellen Miller.

Draft is expanding its service offerings in the sector overall because "healthcare clients today are facing ever-growing challenges, including increased competition and new government regulations," said Yvonne Furth, DraftWorldwide's president and chief operating officer in the United States.

The move will put Draft in a better position to address those challenges for clients by developing a more focused healthcare resources operation, she said.

Miller, who will act as president of Healthcare Marketing Services, said Draft has a "broad spectrum of experience in targeting consumers in the healthcare area." The agency's expertise was "especially strengthened by an understanding of the marketplace across many disciplines."

In the United States, Draft already provides promotional and direct-to-consumer services for Eli Lilly & Co. Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Searle and PacifiCare/Secure Horizons. In Paris, it serves a French base of healthcare companies, including Abbott, Astra, Glaxo, Laboriare Roche and Warner Lambert.
