Monster Worldwide Inc.'s Monster flagship division chose Deutsch Inc., New York, as its U.S. ad agency of record.

The assignment includes print, radio, television and online advertising responsibilities. Arnold Worldwide, Boston, was the incumbent. Ad spend on the Monster U.S. account was not disclosed, but it reportedly comprises a large chunk of the $115 million worldwide budget.

Based in Maynard, MA, Monster lists job openings on its Web site. Monster.com last month attracted 45.9 million unique visits, according to independent research by I/PRO.

The Monster win will boost Deutsch's $2.4 billion in capitalized billings from clients like Bank of America, Revlon, Snapple, Novartis, MCI, Tommy Hilfiger, Coors, Mitsubishi Motors of North America and DirecTV. The agency, part of Interpublic Group of Companies Inc., also has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto.
