Colorado Lottery Picks RealTime Media for Online Marketing

The Colorado Lottery, known for running Scratch games as well as the drawing-based Lotto, Cash 5 and Powerball, named RealTime Media Inc. to offer strategy, development and implementation of online marketing efforts.


RealTime, Wynnewood, PA, will work with the lottery's marketing partners, including Karsh & Hagan and Hostworks, on online audience profiling, reporting, analytics and e-mail marketing through the year.


The first programs are to break in the first quarter, focused on the lottery's e-Lerts e-mail communication effort to its players.


The overall objective of this assignment is to help the Colorado Lottery find new players. Online marketing is designed to help lottery players get the information as soon as it is available, and also research.


The Colorado Lottery's annual revenue has jumped from $41 million since its 1983 founding to $110 million last year.


Nine-year-old RealTime has created online marketing programs for clients like America Online Inc., Simon Property Group, Eastman Kodak Co., Microsoft Corp., Maybelline and Pfizer Inc.
