Aegis Buys Sample Surveys in UK Deal
Aegis Research last week announced the purchase of Sample Surveys Ltd., one of the largest independent custom market research agencies in Britain.Part of Aegis Group PLC, which owns media buyer Carat, Aegis has been on an acquiring spree since 2001. Recent acquisitions include Britain's Pegram Walters, Market&More, Demoscopie and MEMRB Custom Research.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1973, Sample Surveys will boost Aegis' operations in Britain, which serves as a European hub for the company that, in January, will call itself Synovate. Aegis and Sample Surveys collaborated a year before the culmination of the deal.
