Advo to Buy Internet Ad Vehicle

Cooperative coupon distributor Advo Inc., Windsor, CT, said yesterday that it agreed to acquire a controlling interest in Netserts.com, an advertising magazine dedicated to driving online traffic to Internet sites. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.


Netserts, which reaches 10 million households, will be distributed as a monthly advertising supplement dedicated to e-commerce as part of Advo's shared-mail package beginning in late April. In addition, Advo said it would work with Netserts.com to integrate print and online advertising.


Separately, Advo said its SuperCoups subsidiary has formally extended its online partnership with Internet-based coupon purveyor CoolSavings.com for a three-year period.
