Ad:tech Owner Buys iMedia Communications

Dmg world media, a wholly owned unit of British media giant Daily Mail and General Trust PLC, further consolidated its hold on the interactive marketing trade show and media businesses in the United States with the purchase of iMedia Communications.

The deal comes eight months after dmg bought ad:tech, an interactive advertising and marketing franchise and a dot-com heyday survivor with trade shows in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, London and Shanghai.

Financial terms of the iMedia deal were not disclosed. The iMedia franchise covers the iMedia Summits, Web site and newsletters. IMedia founder Rick Parkhill will continue as CEO.
