Ads-Click launches mobile ad platform

Ads-Click, a search and contextual advertising company, released a mobile advertising platform called Ads-Click Mobile this week.

Ads-Click Mobile allows advertisers to create their own mobile landing pages, making it possible to offer cost-per-click pricing for the first time on a mobile platform. Mobile landing pages created with Ads-Click may also include a click-to-call feature. Additionally, advertisers can use Ads-Click Mobile to design banner ads.

"We saw that publishers liked to be able to work with one ad network for all their digital marketing needs, and that they liked one account interface for all of these channels, so we launched mobile as just another channel for publishers to start gaining revenue," said Jonathan Burke, VP of business development for North America at Ads-Click.

"Looking at the industry at large, it's still a little early for mobile advertising, but the data give the impression it's going to be fairly large," Burke continued. "It's going to be important for us and a great ancillary revenue stream."

Burke predicts that many businesses will be attracted to Ads-Click Mobile because of its click-to-call capabilities. With the success of the do not call registry, he explained, many businesses are excited about having customers call them.

Consumers who are most susceptible to mobile advertising, Burke pointed out, are generally very attractive to advertisers.

"Mobile users are open to advertisements because they tend to be, by their nature, out in the world," he said. "They're more prone to be in a buying state of mind compared to someone at the office looking at a few Web sites during the day."

The mobile platform is designed to fully integrate with all of Ads-Click's other offerings, which include ad campaign hosting, management tools and an ad exchange network that determines prices via real-time bidding.

Clients can access Ads-Click Mobile as a module within Ads-Click's ad exchange platform or within Ads-Click SEM, an online marketing interface. Ads-Click Mobile campaigns are accessible through mobile devices because Ads-Click provides a thin client with the mobile tool.

Ads-Click, headquartered in San Francisco, serves more than 3 billion page views per month.
