Adrea Rubin Hires Uni-Mail Account Team

Adrea Rubin Marketing Inc. announced Monday that it has brought former Uni-Mail president Michael Bryant and his account team aboard to work in its list brokerage department.

Bryant was named vice president of list brokerage; Debbie Shapiro was named senior production coordinator, and Tim Murphy was named account executive, effective immediately.

Bryant closed Uni-Mail, New York, on Sept. 21, following nearly two weeks of uncertainty after its offices at 42 Broadway were rendered uninhabitable by the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Prior to the attacks, Bryant had been negotiating to sell the firm to Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT. Talks broke down in the wake of the tragedy.

Though DMI did not buy Uni-Mail, it did take on several of its former employees and list management clients.
