Acxiom to Release Consumer-Data Product

Computer-based marketing services firm Acxiom Corp., Conway, AR, last week announced the development of a consumer-data product designed to take consumers' telephone numbers or names and addresses and return demographic data. InfoBase Profiler, to be released April 1, uses Acxiom's data network to turn out census and household data profiles on customers. It will let businesses compare details available on a sample group of callers, identify attributes those callers have in common and then use those attributes to design target lists of similar prospects. Businesses can identify prospects before or after contact using one of two processing options: sub-second, which gives a profile on a single consumer instantly; or Automated Express Batch, which gives as many as 200,000 profiles within hours, the company said. Acxiom's InfoBase collects data from 15 million major sources and holds more than 1.5 billion source records. It contains demographic information on 95 percent of U.S. households.
