Acxiom to Provide Database Services for Federated
Database services provider Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, said yesterday that it reached an agreement with Federated Department Stores Inc., Cincinnati, to provide the massive retailing and direct marketing company with a range of database marketing and data warehouse services.Acxiom will build and implement an enterprise-wide customer-information data warehouse that will contain all of Federated's customer information and transactions. Desktop access to the data will be provided by Ceres Integrated Solutions Inc., Raleigh, NC. Data views will enable Federated to manage customer relationships through multiple media.
The services will be provided for Federated's FACS credit group and its department stores: The Bon MarchÇ, Burdines, Goldsmith's, Lazarus, Macy's, Rich's and Stern's.
