Acxiom Sells Unit to Canadian Firm

Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, said yesterday it sold a potion of DataQuick, a compiler of real estate data, to MacDonald Dettwiler of Canada. The deal, in which Acxiom will retain DataQuick's compilation and data sourcing segment, also confirms Acxiom's pre-existing commitment to provide MacDonald Dettwiler with data.

Acxiom, a database marketing services and technology firm, said it sees the transaction as a door to future opportunities in Canada. MacDonald Dettwiler, a provider of information products, services, and technologies, looks forward to growth and success in the United States.

Approximately 200 of Acxiom's DataQuick employees in its San Diego, CA office have become a part of MacDonald Dettwiler.
