ACD Systems Expands Use of ExactTarget's E-Mail System

ExactTarget, Indianapolis, said yesterday that digital imaging software provider ACD Systems, British Columbia, is now using ExactTarget's Connect e-mail marketing system to personalize, segment, deliver and track 20 digital photography-related electronic publications to millions of opt-in subscribers in five languages every month.


ACD Systems has conducted a regular e-mail marketing program since mid-2000. The company began using ExactTarget's system in June 2003.


ExactTarget simplifies the management of customer profiles through an open Application Program Interface that allows newsletter preferences defined by subscribers at a signup page on a client's Web site to be transferred to ExactTarget's database without manual database work and complex importing procedures.


Also, ExactTarget's list segmentation capabilities aid in matching subscribers' interests, purchase history and other attributes such as native language to the publications of greatest relevance to individual recipients.
