Abacus Direct Delves Into Market Research

Abacus Direct, Broomfield, CO, a division of DoubleClick Inc., said Friday it will launch a series of syndicated market research products to produce information for its clients about consumers' Internet shopping habits.


The products will coincide with Abacus Direct's existing core market segments -- catalog, retail, business-to-business, publishing and online.


The project is called "Developing Effective Customer Contact Strategies in an Electronic Commerce Future." It was initiated because of client requests.


The research syndicate is a collaboration between companies with similar business interests. To complete the project, Abacus Direct has also partnered with marketing research authority Dr. Dipankar Chakravarti and his University of Colorado staff.
