Abacus Alliance Hits 1,000

Abacus Direct, Westminster, CO, has attracted the 1,000th member to its Abacus Alliance. The Abacus Alliance, a cooperative membership database of consumer catalogers, was formed in 1990, reached 500 members in July 1995 and now contains records from 1,000 merchandise catalogs with more than 1.5 billion transactions.


The database sorts catalogers into 11 product categories, including apparel; books, video and audio; children's; gardening; gifts; health and beauty; home; outdoors; specialty food and beverage; shoes and accessories.
