Disney targets Latino customers with affinity magazine

The Walt Disney Co. will launch its first Spanish-language magazine in the US on July 14. Disney En Familia, aimed at young Hispanic mothers living in the US, will be sent to 350,000 families in its first run.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) has launched a new multiplatform campaign, developed by Draftfcb Chicago. The "Power of the human voice" campaign, launched on April 21, includes interactive, out-of-home, direct mail, TV, print and radio components.

McClatchy, ImpreMedia to share Spanish-language content

McClatchy Co. has partnered with Hispanic news and information company ImpreMedia for a content sharing deal. The agreement allows both companies' newspapers and Web sites to post articles from each others' writers. Seven of ImpreMedia's locally focused papers are included in the deal, as are three of McClatchy's Spanish-language publications.
 

Impremedia hires industry vet to grow digital sales

Batanga buys ad network HispanoClick

Hispanic-focused content provider Batanga purchased online ad network HispanoClick, which claims to have a monthly reach of 5.6 million unique Latino users, last week. Terms were not disclosed. HispanoClick's network has more than 800 Hispanic publishers. Advertisers include Verizon Wireless, Kraft, Mazola, the US Army and Western Union.
