The Wall Street Journal and Microsoft partner on contextual advertising services
The Wall Street Journal's paid search and contextual advertising services will be provided by Microsoft Corp. through a new partnership. Contextual ads are sold on a pay-per-click basis and appear as text links at the bottom of stories viewed on WSJ.com. Text ads, listed in a shaded area at the top of search results, are also availĀable. The Wall Street Journal previously used Pulse 360 for the contextual ad links and Business.com for the paid search links.
