The Advocate, recently acquired by Regent Media, will switch to a monthly distribution strategy as of January 2009. Currently a bi-monthly, the magazine joins a host of other magazines that have scaled back their frequency, including US News and World Report, which scaled back from weekly to bi-weekly this year.
