Starbucks launches new loyalty program

Starbucks has launched a new customer loyalty program, Starbucks Gold Rewards, on the heels of a rewards program that started in April. The new Gold program, which goes into wide release on November 4, offers a 10% discount on most in-store purchases.
 

InfoGroup reports Q3 loss

InfoGroup Inc., formerly known as InfoUSA Inc., reported an operating loss for the third quarter of $1.7 million, or 7 cents per share; compared to net income of $17 million, or 31 cents per share, for the same quarter last year. The company said the loss was partially due to litigation costs and severance payments made in connection with lawsuits against former CEO Vinod Gupta, who resigned in August.

Direct marketing services provider Harte-Hanks Inc. reported that revenue totaled $269.9 million in the third quarter ended September 30, down 5.9% from the previous third quarter. The company's diluted earnings per share were 26 cents in the same period, compared with 30 cents in the previous year.
