58k.com has been channeling print job requests to printCafe since the two online print procurement firms recently signed an agreement.The partnership was made possible because of printCafe's PCX technology, which allows job ticketing and process compatibility across a range of authoring, production workflow and e-commerce print management systems.
PrintCafe Inc., Pittsburgh, allows print companies to manage business online, including job submissions, price quotes, invoicing and real-time job status. The agreement will increase the number of job quotes at www.printcafe.com.
58k.com, New York, lets printers bid on jobs as commercial print buyers submit them. The company cited printCafe's back-end capabilities as an important reason for the partnership.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
