24/7 Media Picks Up Web Voice App

24/7 Media Inc. has added Web voice capabilities to its e-mail services package via a deal with eStara Inc., Reston, VA.

The voice application will be available for various e-mail marketing programs including sweepstakes and viral initiatives, said Darren Dunn, national director of sales for 24/7, New York.

Dunn said that adding the eStara technology will allow firms to embed e-mail with links that let recipients speak with a live representative via the Internet.

"We created a way to implement a direct marketing channel such as e-mail that involves the call center as well," he said.

While 24/7 e-mail services are priced at cost-per-thousand rates, Dunn did not specify how the voice application might affect overall pricing. His company also offers e-mail list rental services.
